The Welsh capital is a varied and vibrant city to do business in
If you’re thinking of starting a business in Cardiff, its varied scenery and vibrant city centre make it a picturesque and diverse location to do business in the UK whilst making the most of what the Welsh capital has to offer.
Transport links for easy commuting
Cardiff is home to such landmarks as the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Bay, while the quality of life in the city is boosted by its proximity to the coast, beaches, and even mountains. But this rugged scenery doesn’t mean that Cardiff is out in the sticks. In fact, the Welsh capital benefits from excellent transport links thanks to Cardiff International Airport and its direct connection to London via the M4 and rail.
Business support
As a capital city, Cardiff offers a good range of support for small businesses. Central Cardiff Enterprise Zone, a new 140-acre business district in the heart of the city, provides support and incentives to help kick-start small businesses and start-ups. This support ranges from financial help and access to international trade links through to business rate relief for new and growing companies.
Top-class workspace
Office space in Cardiff is relatively easy to come by. In 2014, 25,000 sq. ft. of Grade An office premises were available in the city centre, and plans for an extra 150,000 sq. ft. of additional office space are already underway. The recently-completed Capital Quarter development provides eight acres of mixed-use premises for small and medium businesses and is ideally located for Cardiff’s two main rail stations.
