XLN – the UK’s leading provider of phone, broadband and card processing services to more than 100,000 small businesses – has announced that its WiFi service has passed the new milestone of 20,000 public WiFi hotspots in the UK.
Rapid expansion of the network has continued since launch in October 2016, driven by customer demand and growing end-user adoption.
From April 2017, XLN also announced support for WiFi Roaming across its network. GlobalReach Technology and BSG Wireless have provided the infrastructure to make this rapid expansion possible; with XLN leveraging GlobalReach’s AAA RADIUS and captive portal management platform and BSG Wireless providing its industry-renowned ‘roaming hub’. The technology provides XLN with a carrier-grade, community WiFi network to offer tiered services to business customers and guests.
